With our head office and terminals located in Mississauga, ON, Musket Transport Ltd. is an asset-based company with the top of the line equipment necessary to meet our clients' unique needs. We have three fully gated yards - 2 of which are Canada Customs Bonded Yards - in the GTA with video surveillance and a security guard on site 24/7.
As one of Ontario's largest intermodal carriers, our fleet boasts over 200 trucks! Many of our trucks are dispatched locally in Ontario while others carry cargo across highways between Toronto and Montreal as well as between Toronto and ports in New York, New Jersey, Philadelphia, Maryland and several other states.
The Musket fleet also features 300 fifty-three foot dry van plated air ride trailers, which we secure safely to our trucks to transport valuable cargo. Our OTR (Over the Road) trailers travel from city to city, both locally in Ontario, across Canada and over the border into cities across the United States.
In addition to the 500+ chassis we have for safely and efficiently moving containers, Musket Transport boasts an array of specialized flat beds and containers in various sizes. This equipment is useful in the shipment of uniquely shaped cargo.
With room for 7,000 intermodal containers in our yards, access to a cross dock facility and a logistics department dedicated to supporting our drivers and servicing our customers, Musket Transport Ltd. continues to grow. Behind the Musket Name
Serving our clients since 1993, we work with such operating authorities, insurance companies and accreditation such as CTPAT, PIP, FAST, CSA and a Smart Way Carrier just to name a few. All of Musket Transport's drivers are trained and hold a valid HAZ-MAT certificate.
At Musket Transport Ltd., we are 100% committed to supporting our drivers on the road. In the event that a Musket truck should break down or encounter a safety issue, we offer road-side emergency services and repairs. This 24/7 fleet repair service gives our drivers peace of mind that they can reach their destination - and arrive back home - safely and on schedule. Additionally, our certified garages are staffed with licensed mechanics who are intimately familiar with what authorities expect and ensure that our vehicles and equipment are up to standard.
Many of our drivers are successful graduates from our own school - CHET (Commercial Heavy Equipment Training) - which is recognized by the Province of Ontario. CHET boasts a comprehensive curriculum including tractor-trailer theory taught in the classroom and hands on behind-the-wheel training in the cab. Students of CHET are always invited to apply, drivers with quality training and experience are also encouraged to apply for a position on our team.
